Aluminum Flange
An aluminum flange is one of the important components in piping systems used to connect pipes, valves, pumps, and other equipment. Flanges are typically made from various materials such as steel, aluminum, and plastic, but due to their specific characteristics, they have wide applications in different industries. Below, we introduce aluminum flanges and their types.
Types of Aluminum Flanges
- Slip-On Flange:
These flanges have a larger opening than the pipe diameter and are easily placed over the pipe. After positioning, they are welded to the pipe. - Weld Neck Flange:
These flanges have a long neck that gradually connects to the pipe diameter. This design evenly distributes pressure along the flange. - Blind Flange:
Blind flanges lack a central opening and are used to seal the ends of pipes or to stop the flow in systems. - Threaded Flange:
These flanges have internal threads that connect to threaded pipes without the need for welding. - Lap Joint Flange:
These flanges are used with a stub end that is welded to the pipe, allowing the flange to move freely around it. - Socket Weld Flange:
These flanges have an internal opening where the pipe is inserted and then welded.
